Well after shifting quite a lot of the DIO boards I’ve ran out of stock and need to redesign the board since the Allegro Darlinton array I used to use has gone end of life. I’ll be creating a new version (DIO_H) of the popular DIO board this month using the toshiba TBD array Ic instead. This has the advantage of being FET driven so can handle more power as well as not dropping any voltage like the old Darlington drivers used to. I’ve also uploaded a new projects for the PiIO_232_H project onto element14 which implements a protocol converter for a marine gyro using RS232, data is read from the device then sent back over wifi or CAT5 to a remote monitoring station using UDP.
